It’s so incredible how looking up in the sky and seeing a crescent moon reminds you of how much you are loved and how much support you have. I never thought joining this organization would give me as many opportunities and bring me as much happiness as it has. At first I thought I was trying something new, but now it all just feels like home.
“Cause when I look to the sky something...

Anonymous asked: Have you ever heard anyone talking about a shirt swap? I know a lot of the girls in my chapter would love to swap shirts with other chapters but some girls don't even know what a shirt swap is. Maybe you could help girls set this kind of thing up.

Just a reminder to all of the Sorority women...
agracelamb:
When you put your letters on tumblr, you represent more than just yourself. You are always representing your Sorority.
This is not aimed at anyone, I’d just like us to keep it classy, nice, and appropriate on tumblr considering that we all represent our letters.

Anonymous asked: My biggest fear about joining a Panhellenic house as opposed to the smaller sororities on my campus is that at the end of my undergrad years, I won't walk away with anything other than Facebook pictures, a few good memories here and there but not much of a connection with the majority of my pledge class. Thoughts?
Anonymous asked: I saw your advice about the Panhellenic vs. Multicultural Greek Organizations, and just wanted to add something. Most multicultural organizations started off as historically one culture, because there wasn't a space for them in traditional organizations (Panhellenic included) due to racial segregation. Most of the Multicultural Orgs now are considered historically Black, Asian, or Latino,...
Anonymous asked: What is a pledge twin? I've seen a few posts about them, but we don't have them at my chapter. I've heard of twins who share the same big, but never a pledge twin...

Anonymous asked: Opinions on multicultural chapters such as Sigma Lambda Gamma or alpha Kappa Delta Phi? In other words would you recommend women look more into Panhellenic chapters or the Multicultural Greek Council chapters? Have you yourself ever looked into these organizations before you pledged your sorority?

Limited Edition Badge? Yes Please!
ohhhot-damnn:
In 2013 Sigma Kappa will become the Vice Chairman for the NPC and then in 2015 become chairman. Only 2 women from our organization have become chairman in the time the NPC has been around. Even though I’m alum this is exciting news.
Fun Fact- the alternating jewels were chosen to reflect NPC’s colors.

katrinaa1 asked: Hi! I just wanted to add on to information about sororities who do not have houses on campus. We have a dorm designated for the sororities and we each have our own floor. Our doors are pretty much always open, so it's very communal. Each sorority also has a chapter on the first floor and these are perfect places for hanging out or for hosting meetings!

Anonymous asked: Hi! I was just reading the blog and I saw a response from V saying she didn't have houses on her campus. The university I'm going to in the fall doesn't have houses either...I know it's different everywhere but how does this work? Are chapter meetings held on campus? What about socials and things? Thanks for the answer in advance. :)
